Some early kickoffs tonight in MLS. First match is on at 6pm and streams can be found on Unibet.
So if you don’t have a life like me or want to get into MLS its a nice place to start.
You’re lucky as it’s not like there is a big match on tonight.
Portland Timbers v San Jose Earthquakes
As predicted Portland Timbers bounced back at home after some poor results and deservedly beat San Jose Earthquakes (sounds like old school WWF wrestling). Diego
Valeri showed why he is one of the leagues best players with a double strike. Lucky for Timbers though after big Nigerian striker Fanendo Adi couldn’t find the goal in this one, Valeri carried them home like he does more often than not.
New York City v Philadelphia Union
Looking onto the Yankee stadium again for a more end to end crazy tempo game. New York City FC were the team that I thought would get 3 points in the midweek but their defence is rather weak to say the least and let a late 84th minute goal in. A fun team to watch sure but they are very exposed at the back in matches which is also exactly the same as last year, so all eyes on your tactics head coach Patrick Viera.
I would fully expect NYCFC to make up for midweek and have a good go at Philadelphia Union. Union themselves are looking a lot better the last month or so after starting the campaign very poorly.
NYCFC key to victory is keeping CJ Sapong quiet, the powerful striker has been one of the main reasons they have picked up some points the last month alongside a more solid defence.
But its the Yankee stadium, Viera will have the sky blues fired up and they have David David Villa at the end of the day. Yes…..he’s still got it and then some.
DC United v LA Galaxy
Focussing mainly on Galaxy here due to the fact that they are a really strong side. On paper they have the one of the best attacking lineups in MLS. Dos Santos, Alessandrini and Zardes are all really dangerous players. Alessandrini and Dos Santos proving the key with link up play that has created 19 goals and assists already this season.
Dos Santos should should but nothing is confirmed yet, with this confirmed I am sure Galaxy are good for a point and a couple of goals against a poor DC side.
But the answer might lie in…….Did Giovani Dos Santos get on the plane to Mexico instead?
Sporting Kansas City v Minnesota United
A good home team meets a poor away team in Kansas. Minnesota have really picked up of late to recover from being the MLS clowns. Instead there is a positive outlook coming out of the club and quite rightly to.
But they meet a dangerous and resolute Sporting Kansas tonight in what will be a really tough fixture for them. If star English born striker Dom Dwyer is starting they should be good for goals.
New England Revolution v Toronto FC
A really good home team take on the best (for me) MLS team this year. Last weeks 5-0 win over Crew without there star strikers Giovinco and Altidore makes me think these guys mean business.
No Altidore this week as he is away on USA duty alongside Bradley but Giovinco is playing and they still have enough quality here to make a real game of it.
Looking forward to this one, there should be goals and its a game that can go either way for me.
Good luck if you place some bets, if not just enjoy some fun football when there is not much else on. Ha!
