Manchester United vs Chelsea. José Mourinho vs Antonio Conte. Does it get better?
Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho have been going at each other all year, after the first match between the two teams ended with a Chelsea victory. The big difference is that Sunday’s match is at Old Trafford.
Man United vs Chelsea

Man United last five: DWLWL

Moses – Fabregas – Kante – Alonso
Willian – Hazard
Both Manchester United and Chelsea drew Spanish teams in the Champions League this week. United played 0-0 at Sevilla, while Chelsea almost beat Barcelona, but a late error by Anders Christensen made it 1-1. I still think the dane will make the starting 11 again though.
Before the season, Conte tried really hard to jinx himself by saying “We know the difficulty of the next season and for sure we want to avoid the Mourinho season with Chelsea. Two years ago the team ended the league in 10th place and we want to try to avoid this.”
Well, that didn’t really work out.
Recently Conte has been calling Mourinho a “little man”.
Even Willian has tried to get in Mourinhos head, saying it will be a completely different Chelsea team, from the game against Barcelona, who will show up at Old Trafford Sunday. He’s ready to attack.
So what does Mourinho do? He probably would love to have Herrera on the team, but he was forced off with an injury against Sevilla. If Chelsea in fact plans to attack at Old Trafford, I’m not really sure how the United defense will handle that. They were lucky to not concede in Spain, and Chelsea looked like a really good team vs Barcelona. Willian was brilliant, and should earn the starting spot in this battle.
For me, it just doesn’t look like Mourinho has control over his team right now. I could be wrong, but I can see Chelsea getting exactly the match they want to. An early goal, and a moment of magic from Willian when the defense opens up, is enough to win them this match. United will probably score, but if they are behind from the start, they are doomed.
Antonio Conte – José Mourinho 2-0?
Man United 1 – 2 Chelsea
Goal: Martial, Giroud, Willian
